Being able to participate in a formal radio net and being a good Net Control Operator are important skills, and the best way to learn is BEFORE the disaster happens. ACS conducts two local radio nets per week to give operators living or working in San Francisco the opportunity to learn and practice these needed skills in a low-stress environment.

The Siren Net
Please vist the new Outdoor Public Warning System webpage with information about the updated Siren Net.

The ACS Net
ACS Net begins at 1930 hours (7:30 p.m.) local time each Thursday evening, on the WA6GG repeater at 442.050+ tone 127.3. The purpose of this net is to practice Net Control skills, practice checking in with deployment status in a formal net, and to share information regarding upcoming ACS events. Guests are welcome to check in, and will be called at the end of the rotation.  ACS Members should perform Net Control Control duty on a regular basis.
